WHAT'S YOUR BEEF

-

CHEF JESSIE GRILL, The Grove by Rockwell, Pasig City

All of chef Jessie Sincioco’s restaurants are participating in the promo, including the more casual Chef Jessie Grill. This casual dining restaurant offers all grilled dishes cooked in its special charcoal grill oven, which is perfect for steak.

One of the dishes is the charcoal grilled oyster blade steak. A cut coming from the shoulder of the cattle, this is tricky to cook because it tends to be tougher than other cuts. What the restaurant does is it cuts the oyster blade into relatively thin slices and grills it quickly to retain tenderness. The dish is served with a side of fries and mesclun greens.

The charcoal-grilled beef striploin is as classic as steak gets. The satisfying simple grilled striploin is served with grilled leeks, potato wedges, and classic gravy. The slow roast beef cheeks is cooked with a caldereta-like liver gravy and served with a side of poutine and sautéed spinach. EPICURIOUS, East Wing, Shangri-la Plaza, Mandaluyong City

This cafe/deli is famous for its dine-and-shop concept. Operated by the Cravings Group, Epicurious specializes in deli eats like sandwiches and pastas.

On its Australian grassfed beef menu is a mix of light and hearty meals. First is the beef fajitas, a simple Mexican dish that uses sirloin strips sautéed with onions, bell peppers, and young corn. It’s served with tortillas, tomato salsa, and sour cream. The fettuccine stroganoff also uses sirloin strips in a creamy mushroom sauce topped with spices and Parmesan cheese.

The main dish, on the other hand, is a generous helping of roast beef served with a cup of steamed rice, roasted vegetables, and enoki mushroom, all drenched in a mushroom sauce.

The Australian Grassfed Beef on the Menu promo runs until Aug. 30 at 41 participating restaurant concepts (including their branches) in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao; Find the complete list of restaurants on Facebook/Australia in the Philippines; Twitter @AusAmbPH; #TrueAussieBeefPH
