BIR celebrating 113 years today

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is celebrating today and tomorrow its 113th founding anniversary expressing elation over taxpayers’ satisfaction for reducing the time in doing business with the agency. BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay has invited President Duterte to address the event to inspire and encourage the men and women in the service to be more honest and dedicated, enabling the bureau to hit the 11.8-trillion collection target for the year. In keeping with the President’s directive, the bureau has cut bureaucratic red tape, speeding up processing of transactions and easing the burden on taxpayers. (Jun Ramirez)
