St. Alphonsus Ligouri

Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle will preside over a concelebrated feast mass at 6 p.m. today at the St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish in Magallanes Village, Makati City, in solemn commemoration of the Feast of Saint Alphonsus (San Alfonso) Maria de Liguoria. Masses will also be held at 6:30 a.m. and at 12:15 p.m. Novena masses were held at the church from July 23 to July 31. He founded the Redemptorists in 1732. St. Alphonsus died in 1787. Because of his immense contribution to the Church, he was declared a Doctor of the Universal Church. (Christina I. Hermoso)
