9 arrested in drug busts

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato – Police arrested nine persons, and seized about P1.2 million worth of shabu in simultaneous anti-drug operations in the city over the weekend. Supt. Allan Penaverde, Koronadal City police chief, said joint elements of the Regional Police Anti-Drug Enforcement Unit, Special Action Force and Regional Public Safety Battalion swooped down on suspected drug dens in Barangay Topland, which resulted in the arrest of nine high-value drug personalities and seizure of 150 grams of shabu worth P1.2 million, several firearms and a grenade. Police identified those arrested s as Pedro Carreon, 72; Joseph Carreon, 37, Gabriel Carreon, 45; Bernadette Carreon, 43; Jessielyn Palalay, 44; Kris Ervic Egasan, 26; Henry Palmes. 44; Mark lester Dinglasan; 29 and John Eric Cordero, 37.
