DOH staff for rehab center

-

DAVAO CITY – Mayor Sara DuterteCarpio has asked the Department of Health (DOH) to help provide the staff for a 200-bed training and rehabilitation center located in Marilog District that will be donated by Resorts World. The 1350-million facility will be manned by 92 personnel from the DOH, upon the approval of Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial, according to DOH Assistant Secretary Abdullah Dumama, Jr. According to him, the matter has been taken up at the national staff meeting last week and was among the priority requests by the Davao City government from the DOH. Dumama said that the city could not afford to staff the rehabilitation center and asked for the agency’s help instead. “The patients there will need physical, emotional, and spiritual help in their recovery,” Dumama said.
