Girl, 6, killed

KIDAPAWAN CITY – A six-year-old girl was killed when she was hit by a speeding motorcycle while crossing a street in Magpet, North Cotabato around 5 p.m., Sunday, police said. Authorities identified the victim as Aizel Mae Pelayo Hermoso, a grade one pupil of the Doles Central Elementary School in Barangay Doles, Magpet. Reports said Hermoso was crossing the street when a speeding black motorcycle driven by a certain Arturo Noa Bogcutan hit her. The victim died at the Kidapawan Medical Specialist Center in Kidapawan City while receiving treatment. According to Chief Insp. Rommel Constantino of the Magpet PNP, Bogcutan fled to an unknown direction and is now subject of a manhunt. (Malu Cadelina-Manar)
