Games Today (The Arena, San Juan City) 4 p.m. – Creamline vs BaliPure 6:30 p.m. – Pocari Sweat vs Air Force

Action continues at the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference today as four teams battle for championship berths at The Arena in San Juan City.

Creamline tackles BaliPure at 4 p.m. while defending champion Pocari Sweat confronts Hair Fairy Air Force at 6:30 p.m. in a pair of thrilling knockout matches.

Momentum is on the side of BaliPure and Pocari after prevailing last Sunday to extend their respective best-of-three semifinal series.

The Water Defenders survived the Lady Jet Spikers, 25-22, 16-25, 23-25, 2521, 15-12, while the Lady Warriors outhustled the Cool Smashers, 25-19, 19-25, 25-16, 18-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, the Philippine volleyball team takes on Hong Kong at the start of the 19th AVC Asian Senior Women’s Championship today at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.

Game is at 6 p.m. after the opening ceremony.

“It’s a very important game if we are to enter the quarterfinals; this is a must-win game,” said PH coach Francis Vicente. “Morale-booster yan.”

The Filipinas seek a spot in the quarters of the 14-nation tourney.

Creamline, however, promises to deliver the same intensity that won them Game 1 even without Valdez as it has Pau Soriano, Rosemarie Vargas, and Jia Morado.

In the other pairing, Pocari strives to get its third finals appearance with Myla Pablo and Jeanette Panaga leading the charge.

Air Force, however, is not intimidated as Del Palomata, May Ann Pantino, and Wendy Ann Semana try to regain their old form.
