After enduring a rough period in her storied career, multi-hyphenate Kris Aquino bounces back with a new partnership

-

For decades now, Kris Aquino’s name has been synonymous with free TV. She has had much success with game shows, talk shows, and televised talent searches. But she hasn’t had a network to call home since her exclusive contract with ABS-CBN expired over a year ago.

Some people wrote her off after that, saying the woman once called the Queen of All Media had finally crashed and burned. Little did they know that Kris was just waiting for the right opportunity and time to stage a comeback.

With her dual roles as a brand ambassador and key advisor for iflix, that time is now.

Before signing with iflix, Kris had already begun to explore digital media with a series of video blogs called “The Kris List.” As that endeavor of hers was met with success, Kris hopes the public will also support her as she embarks on this new journey with iflix. In her capacity as key advisor, Kris will play an important role in creating and developing original content for the service through iflix Original Productions.

“We started that in 2007,” she said of her initial foray into digital media. “I’ve had 120 million impressions on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, so I want to thank the public for bingewatching me too. They’ve given me 16 million minutes of their time. I hope that they also do that binge-watching on iflix.”

Kris is tickled pink that some of her own movies and TV shows are available for streaming on the platform.

“I have four movies that they bought. ‘Dalaw,’ the original ‘Feng Shui,’ ‘Sisterakas,’ and ‘Sukob.’ So the two Chito Roño movies are there. I hope they also buy the second ‘Feng Shui’ because I co-produced it, and if they buy it
