Corpus top cop of C. Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa confirmed that Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus is the incoming Central Luzon regional police director in a press conference after the 116th Police Service Anniversar­y celebratio­n held here. Dela Rosa told newsmen that he is confident his “mista” will continue the government’s advocacy to going after criminal acticvitie­s, particular­ly those involving illegal drugs and illegal gambling. “May tiwala ako dyan kasi mista ko yan. Alam ko ang kanyang kakayahan na sugpuin ang anumang klase ng krimen dito sa Central Luzon,’’ the PNP chief said. Corpus, current directorat­e for Logistics Support Services (LSS), is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 86. He was also acting regional director of Cagayan Valley and former provincial police director of Tarlac. He will replace Chief Supt. Aaron N. Aquino, who is set to retire on September 7. Aquino will head the Philippine Drug Enforce Agency (PDEA). (Franco G. Regala)
