UE ALUMNI TO HOLD BOWLING, REUNION THIS SEPTEMBER

It’s all systems go for the bowling competitio­n and reunion for the University of the East Alumni Associatio­ns Inc. (UEAAI) this September. The First UE Alumni Bowling Tournament which will take place on Saturday, September 23 at the AMF-Puyat Coronado Lanes in StarmallEd­sa, Mandaluyon­g City is open to UE faculty, students, employees, and alumni. Other interested groups or guest teams are also welcome to join. All participat­ing teams should be ready for action at the bowling alleys 15 minutes prior to the ceremonial bowl which would start at exactly 10 a.m.

UEAAI officers are encouragin­g all members of the UE community to participat­e in this Tenpin bowlfest.

Registrati­on is now ongoing. Major prizes await the winners: Champion, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner up trophies plus cash prizes for the top three teams. Also, special prizes for highest game and highest series for special individual and team, among other prizes would be handed out.

Entry forms could be obtained at the UE Marketing Dept./UE Alumni Office, GF, former Dentistry Building, Dr. Francisco T. Dalupan Sr. Street (formerly Gastambide), UE Manila. The committee members tasked to organize this tourney comprise UE alumni veteran bowlers Rene Chan, Joey Romblon, and Ed Arcilla.

With the 69th reunion theme “UE Shining Through,” the UE alumni get-together will take place at the Century Park Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, Saturday, September 30, from 6 p.m. onwards, according to UEAAI president Josie Malanum. The gathering will highlight the UE Jubilarian­s: 1952 (Blue Sapphire/65 years), 1957 (Diamond/60), 1962 (Emerald/55), 1967 (Gold/50), 1972 (Sapphire/45), 1977 (Ruby/40), 1982 (Coral/35), 1987 (Pearl/30), and 1992 (Silver/25). Entrance tickets are priced at 11,000 each, inclusive of food and raffle prizes.
