CKSC, Hope dispute crown

Chiang Kai Shek College and Hope Christian High School arranged another title showdown by crushing separate semis rivals in Division A even as Grace Christian College and Philippine Chen Kuang High School won their rubber matches in Divison B of the Filipino-Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) held over the weekend at the Philippine Cultural College gym.

Led by John Martin Galinato, Jason Celis and Allan Beltran, the CKSC Blue Dragons clobbered Paco Citizen Foundation dribblers, 74-56, while Hope Christians outlasted Manila Patriotic School, 66-55, behind the heroics of Harvey Pagsanjan and Mac Chester Jacob.

Galinato fired 14 points while Celis and Beltran combined for 20 points to lead the six-peat seeking Blue Dragons to victory in the event sponsored by Freego and has former UP standout Sunny Co as tournament director and Edster Sy as digital marketing.

In a closed door knockout match, Joshua Jugar exploded for 33 points as PCKHS outlasted St. Peter Apostle School, 82-80, to set a title date with GCC, which beat Jubilee Christian Academy, 61-57, with Mascus Nathan Lu erupting for 25 points.

Meanwhile, CKSC and St. Stephen’s HS forged a title clash in Developmen­tal division with the Junior Blue Dragons scoring a 60-35 over GCC and the Stephenian­s blowing past St. Jude Catholic School, 60-33.
