Villania had folded a full-sized stroller using only one hand and while carrying her toddler son Primo. Then she smoothly slung the folded stroller on her shoulder like a regular bag, punctuatin­g the uber cool mommy move with a smile and a hair flip before walking away. She returned a few heartbeats later to unfold the stroller with the same speed and ease as closing it. Not long after, husband Drew Arellano replicated Iya’s one-handed dexterity with the stroller to the delight of the crowd. Wow, I thought. I wish I had that kind of stroller for walks and other outings when I was a newbie, hands-on mom more than a decade ago.

I was at the launch of Babyzen Philippine­s at Horizon Homes in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig and I had just discovered Iya and Drew’s ultimate travel must-have when taking trips both near and far with their only child: the Babyzen Yoyo+. All it took was one flick of the wrist,” Iya said of the standout stroller that the active Arellanos took with them when the family traveled to Iya’s birth country Australia. Not only is the Babyzen Yoyo+ ultra light and nifty and can be opened, closed, steered, and carried with one hand, it can also be stored in a plane’s overhead cabin compartmen­t, making it the ideal travel accessory for parents on the go with young kids.
