No water service in Bacoor, Imus before All Saints’ Day

- By ANTHONY GIRON

IMUS, Cavite – There will be water service interruptions in parts of Bacoor and Imus from October 30 to 31, or the eve of All Saints’ Day.

The Maynilad Water Services, Inc. said its customers will experience “low pressure [condition] up to no water service” in some barangays (villages) of the two neighboring districts on the set dates.

Imus, the capital of Cavite province, has the most number of barangays that will be affected by the interruptions.

The firm called on consumers to store enough water for the duration of the interruptions, which are due to the upgrade of the Putatan Water Treatment Plant in Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila.

In an advisory, Maynilad said it will install "new reverse osmosis assemblies” at the plant today (Monday), October 30.

Some villages in the cities of Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, and Parañaque will also lack water service during the day.

Maynilad said the interruption in Bacoor will take place from 5 a.m. Monday to 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 31. Affected are Barangays Molino II, III and VII; Queens Row Central East and West; and San Nicolas III.

In Imus, the interruptions are scheduled from 5 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. Monday and from 3 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.

The affected villages are Anabu 1-A to 1-F, Anabu II-A to II-F, Bayan Luma I to IX, Bucandala I, II, IV and V, Carsadang Bago I and II, Malagasang I-A to I-F, Malagasang II-A to II-E and II-G, Poblacion I-A to I-C, Poblacion II-A, Poblacion III-A and III-B, Poblacion IV-A to IV-D, Tanzang Luma I to VI and Toclong I-A to I-C.
