F2 aims to sustain run
Games Today (Malolos Sports and Convention Center) 4 p.m. – Iriga City vs Cignal 6 p.m. – F2 Logistics vs Cocolife
Title contender F2 Logistics intends to sustain its unbeaten start against dangerous Cocolife today as the Chooks-to-Go Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix takes its act to Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.
The Cargo Movers are gunning for their third straight victory in their 6 p.m. encounter with the Asset Managers who are also determined to sustain their resurgence after a sluggish start.
“We’re off to a good start,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus, satisfied at all with his charges’ collective performance in a four-set win over powerhouse Petron over the weekend and a straight-sets triumph over reeling Sta. Lucia Realty Tuesday.
Clashing in the 4 p.m. are slumping teams Cignal and newcomer Iriga City.
The HD Spikers (1-3), losers of their last two matches, are raring to get back on track and stay within mid-pack of the nine-team field while the Oragons are also out to stop a two-game slide since losing top local hitter Grethcel Soltones to a one-year suspension for violating the tourney’s “one-league policy.”
Much of the spotlight, however, is expected to focus on the main match, with the Cargo Movers expecting nothing less than a tough grind against the Asset Managers who are riding high on a two-game winning streak.
