With its pristine beaches and rich history, Mactan Island in Cebu has become one of the most sought-after destinations in the south. Mactan is the choice escape for those seeking relaxation and leisure, as it is just a 15-minute drive away from Mactan Cebu International Airport, and a 30-minute drive from Cebu City.

Rising in the island paradise of Mactan is AmiSa – a masterplanned development of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) that features residential and leisure components, and a 360-meter wide beachfront which is the longest in the island. The 10hectare property is located in Punta Engaño which is known for its views of the Magellan Bay and Hilutungan Channel.

Targeted for Filipino and foreign retirees and for Cebuanos looking for an everyday staycation experience, AmiSa Private Residences promises a lifestyle with wide open spaces, lush landscaping, and close proximity to the shoreline.

This upscale vertical community takes inspiration from Australia’s Gold Coast with its architecture swathed in blue and white hues. Its six residential buildings provide breathtaking scenes of the surroundings from one’s home. Composed of only 474 units, the residential development is one of the lowest-density exclusive communities in Mactan.

Its first three towers are ready for occupancy. With few units per floor – each featuring a balcony – homeowners can enjoy the luxury of space and a serene ambiance.

There are units available to fit every homeowner’s needs: from easy-to-maintain studio units, to twobedroom units that allow individuals and families the comforts of a daily holiday and a life well-lived.

Moreover, sea breeze and sunshine graze the development’s outdoor amenities that include a picnic area, multi-purpose court, biking/ jogging path, playgrounds, tennis court, and swimming pools.

Homeowners can also rejuvenate at the indoor amenities such as a clubhouse, fitness center, mini theater, videoke room, and game room.

To further redefine the Mactan paradise, RLC has signed a partnership with Thailand-based hotel and hospitality group Dusit International to develop the Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort earmarked to open by 2019.

RLC is no stranger to the hospitality scene, as it currently operates 14 hotels across the country. Its portfolio includes international partnerships and high-end developments such as the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila, with Crowne Plaza forming part of the InterContinental Hotels Group family of brands, and the The Westin Manila Sonata Place hotel developed by Marriott International, a global lodging company with more than 6,000 properties in 122 countries and territories.

At the same time, Dusit International is a force in the Philippines, as the company continues to expand its portfolio.

With the Dusit Thani Manila being an iconic hotel in Metro Manila, and a Dusit Hospitality Management College set to open in Bonifacio Global City next year, it seems only natural that the Thai hotel giant turns its eyes to Cebu.

Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort will cater to travellers headed to the area for both business and leisure purposes. It will offer 271 guest rooms across three buildings overlooking the 360-sqm beachfront.

Hotel guests can enjoy amenities that are distinctive to the Dusit brand of living. There will be a Dusit Deverana Spa offering wellness treatments, a fully-equipped fitness center, an executive lounge, three restaurant outlets with al-fresco and private dining options, over 1,200 sqm of meeting space, and a vast infinity pool that allows guests to bask in the serenity of Mactan Island.
