World’s largest tech expo in Las Vegas to discuss changing media landscape
The world's largest technology expo set next month will determine how the business of content distribution is changing the landscape of the media, marketing, advertising and entertainment industries globally, including the Philippines.
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), owner and producer of Consumer Electronic Show (CES), said on Thursday that in one of the panel discussions at CES to be held next month, tech experts and company officials will explore how technology companies are now moving into content creation, while content companies are expanding their mastery of technology.
To be held in Las Vegas, CES 2018 is the global stage for innovation that will span more than 2.6 million net square feet of exhibit space and will feature more than 3,900 exhibiting companies unveiling technologies, products and services that touch every industry, including the content industry.
“We are excited to announce that top power players in the streaming and content business, who understand consumer viewing habits and are providing rich content and will share their insights on our keynote stage,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, CES and corporate business strategy, CTA.
“Consumers are regularly watching time-shifted content, and it’s important for marketers and the entertainment industry to shift business practices to meet consumer demand for anytime/ anywhere access to video content,” she added.
Called C Space Keynote, the panel will particularly bring together the world’s innovators, marketers and creatives to discover disruptive trends and the future of brand marketing and entertainment through technology.
A&E Networks CEO Nancy Dubuc, Comcast Cable President of Advertising Marcien Jenckes, Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav, LionTree LLC CEO Aryeh Bourkoff, PepsiCo Senior Vice President, Global Brand Development Kristin Patrick, MediaLink Chairman and CEO Michael E. Kassan and Vice Chairman Wenda Harris Millard, and YouTube Chief Business Officer Robert Kyncl will all speak at the aforementioned panel discussion.
