Daiichi’s building in BGC gets PEZA accreditation
The Finance Centre, Daiichi Properties’ newest premium office building, was granted accreditation as a Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) information technology (IT) center. The 42-storey building is located in Bonifacio Global City and is one of three award-winning office buildings of the developer in the area.
The Finance Centre’s accreditation entitles PEZA-registered businesses located in the building to certain fiscal and non-fiscal incentives that include an income tax holiday for a certain number of years which translates to a 100 percent exemption from corporate income tax, duty and tax-free importation of equipment and parts, exemption from wharfage dues on shipments of equipment imports, exemption from expanded withholding tax, and simplified import and export procedures, among others.
Aside from incentives, businesses locating in The Finance Centre can save on taxes and fees and can secure permits and other registration requirements easily.
“The PEZA accreditation is something that we are happy about because it allows us to help boost local and foreign investments and strengthen the economy,” said Daiichi Properties SVP Charmaine Uy.
To be completed in the second quarter of 2018, The Finance Centre was designed by Gensler, a worldrenowned architectural firm that also designed the headquarters of global companies such as Facebook, Airbnb, and Uniqlo, as well as the Incheon International Airport, the largest airport in South Korea.
The Finance Centre features an expansive 3,000-sqm plaza with water features, as well as a sky garden above its retail podium.
The building also has a fully unitized curtain wall combining glass and aluminum composite panels covering the building’s curved facade on all sides, giving it a unique visual identity that sets it apart from the other buildings in BGC.
The building also features open, column-free floor layouts that allow tenants to create their own optimal work environments based on the specific nature of their business. Some 19 high-efficiency elevators, a VRV/VRF air-conditioning system, fiber optic backbone, and 100 percent back-up power ensure uninterrupted workflow.
