16 drug suspects busted, 47 users yield in Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The intensified campaign against illegal drugs in Central Luzon resulted in the arrest of 16 drug suspects and the surrender of 47 others in various parts of Bulacan last Tuesday, regional police director Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus said.

Corpus identified the arrested suspects as Calvin Klein Liquiran alias CK, Arvin Pamintuan, Rodel Bayan, Efren Dula alias Kulot, Tobias Labongray alias Bia, Francisco Alzate alais Isko, Estella Gonzales alias Tekla, Ronilo Delos Santos alais Manoy, Marina Delos Reyes alias Beng, Ruben Gonzales alias Obet, Carina Cassandra Feng alias Cass, Marlon Joson, Analiza Siclot, Jesus Alcanzaren, Alias Abra, Christian Vargas and Allan Andres.

Corpus said that the Bulacan police simultaneously conducted anti-illegal drugs operations in Malolos, Balagtas, Calumpit, Plaridel, Bocaue and Meycauayan.

He said that a total of 45 sachets of suspected shabu, eight plastic sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves, marked money and assorted drug-using items were recovered from tge arrested suspects.

The pieces of evidence, along with the suspects were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office.

The arrested suspects will be charged with violation of RA 9165.

Meanwhile, the first day of the resumption of the Philippine National Police’s “Oplan Tokhang” resulted in the voluntary surrender of 47 persons.

“We have issued the new guidelines for our Oplan Tokhang a day before our re-launching so the public will fully understand its concept. I am hopeful that our public will support this, since we have the barangay officials as our partners in this campaign,” Corpus said.

“This is another chance for those who are still dependent on illegal drugs to surrender voluntarily, go to the police station or seek rehabilitation while we will keep on targeting drug pushers in our anti-drug operations which is apart from Oplan Tokhang,” Corpus added.
