Waterfront Cebu cited as MICE venue

Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino has been recognized as one of the five Philippine recipients of the prestigious 1st MICE Venue Standard Award, Hotel Category Setting.

The certificate and plaque was presented during the ASEAN Tourism Forum last Jan. 26 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition or MICE is a growing sector in the ASEAN countries, including the Philippines.

The ASEAN Mice Venue Standards encourages MICE entrepreneurs to boost and further enhance their competitiveness in the hospitality industry especially in countries with robust economic growth and those who rely on tourism as economic driver.

Located in one of the most visited tourist spots outside the metro, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino is the biggest MICE hotel venue in town, with up to 7,000 venue capacity, 16 meeting rooms, and three board rooms.
