The Council approved on Tuesday a resolution for commendation by Councilor Oliver Macatangay, Vice Chairman of the Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety during their regular session. Macatangay said Tiu has granted the request of six barangays in the island to the Philippine National Police (PNP) to have a police presence in their communities. Meanwhile, Tiu said the assigned police officers in Isla Verde and the community precinct will serve as an extension of the police service in the city.
