Rizal drug bust

SAN MATEO, RIZAL – Two drug suspects were arrested by the police yesterday morning here. An illegal drugs buy-bust operation conducted by the San Mateo police resulted in the arrest of Oswald Sumagit, alias Moymoy, 31, and his alleged cohort, Rex Briones Magnaye, both residents at Tierra Monte Subdivision. The police said Sumagit and Magnaye were arrested after handing over a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer piece at around 4 a.m. along Ilang-Ilang Street in Barangay Sto. Niño. When frisked, the two suspects yielded five more sachets of shabu. Appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects. (Nel B. Andrada)
