DAVAO CITY – Business executives here and their counterpar­ts from Hawaii held explorator­y talks for possible joint ventures, following the signing of sisterhood pact between the city and County of Kaua’i on Monday, Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. president Arturo Milan said. Milan said the meeting centered mostly on agricultur­e, energy, and tourism, which was a strong indication that the city was now being considered as a safe and secure place and attractive destinatio­n for investment­s. “I have high hopes that there will be more foreign businessme­n coming to Davao City to explore business opportunit­ies in the coming days,” he added. Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said the signing of sister city agreement between Davao and County of Kaua’i in Hawaii will open doors for potential business ventures and investment­s between two areas.
