Exploratory talks
DAVAO CITY – Business executives here and their counterparts from Hawaii held exploratory talks for possible joint ventures, following the signing of sisterhood pact between the city and County of Kaua’i on Monday, Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. president Arturo Milan said. Milan said the meeting centered mostly on agriculture, energy, and tourism, which was a strong indication that the city was now being considered as a safe and secure place and attractive destination for investments. “I have high hopes that there will be more foreign businessmen coming to Davao City to explore business opportunities in the coming days,” he added. Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said the signing of sister city agreement between Davao and County of Kaua’i in Hawaii will open doors for potential business ventures and investments between two areas.
