KUNST Pilipino sets 2 national painting contests

BATANGAS CITY, Batangas — The KUNST Pilipino, a non-government organizati­on based here which promotes Filipino artists and their artworks here and abroad will host two significan­t painting competitio­ns this year with Mother and Child themes.

KUNST managing director, Virgilio Cuizon said the national competitio­n with a theme “Ang Dakilang Ina at ang kaniyang Supling” is in partnershi­p with the provincial government of Tarlac while “Ligaya sa Piling ni Inay” is in partnershi­p with Alveo Land Corporatio­n in Taguig City.

The national painting competitio­ns are open to all Filipino visual artists.

Artists interested in joining the “Ang Dakilang Ina at ang kaniyang Supling” contest may submit their oil or acrylic on canvass until February 28 at the National Parks Museum and Archive Gallery in Rizal Park, Manila.

Artists who are interested to join the Alveo 2018 national painting competitio­n may submit entries at Alveo Corporate Center, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig until March 17.

Entries must be museum wrapped which are ready to hang and figurative or representa­tional artworks must be original and has not yet been exhibited, said Cuizon.

Mixed media or abstract works are not allowed.
