10 ‘pushers,’ 2 ‘rapists,’ carnapper fall in Bulacan

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A suspected carnapper died in a shootout with Bulacan police in Barangay Minuyan Proper, San Jose del Monte City this province last Saturday night, belated report said yesterday.

Senior Superinten­dent Romeo M. Caramat Jr., Bulacan police director, said that the unidentifi­ed slain suspect is wearing a helmet, orange jacket and armed with a hand gun.

Supt. Fitz Macariola, Chief of Police of SJDM City, said that the shootout happened after a victim identified as Roger Recesio Banaybanay, single, native of Zamboanga, resident of Phase 4A, Towerville of the said village reported that his blue Honda TMX 155 motorcycle was forcibly taken by two unidentifi­ed armed suspects on board a Mio motorcycle and fled towards Quirino Hi-way, Quarry Barangay Minuyan Proper.

Immediatel­y after, two police team proceeded to the area on board Mobile Patrols 115 and 105 wherein they spotted the motorcycle fitting the descriptio­n of said stolen motorcycle with two male persons in a dark portion of Minuyan Road.

In that juncture, while the patrol officers were about to approach the suspects for verificati­on, the two suspects shot the police officers prompting them to retaliate hitting one of the suspects that resulted in his death, while his cohort managed to escape.

Recovered from the slain suspect were a revolver cal 38 Smith and Wesson with Se- rial No. 54737 loaded with four live ammos and one empty cartridge case; one small size heat seal transparen­t plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu;” one medium size self- sealing transparen­t plastic sachet containing suspected “dried marijuana leaves”, and one blue Honda TMX with Plate No. 1063 TG.

Meanwhile, 10 drug suspects including a minor were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by Bulacan police over the weekend.

Based on the report, seven were arrested including a minor in Meycauayan City; two in the City of San Jose Del Monte; and one in Norzagaray.

Police identified the arrested suspects as Joanalyn Samson Licudine alias “Baet”; Joji Tupas Flores alias “Noy”; Lorilie Rizano Faa; Michael Vargas Lozada; Victoria Maningas Cruz alias “Nene Topak”; Roan Gonzales Moises alias “Tomboy”; John Lester Baylon alias “JL;” Jonna Delos Reyes de Guia; Froilan Batibay Duro and an out of school youth male 15-year-old.

Confiscate­d during the operations were 22 pieces of plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”, drug parapherna­lia and buy-bust money. The suspects and seized pieces of evidence were taken to the Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory for examinatio­ns, while appropriat­e criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are being prepared before the Provincial Prosecutor­s Office, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

Also over the weekend, two rapists were arrested by Bulacan police in Meycauayan City and Paombong.

Police identified them as Renato Payang Matias, 32, with live-in partner, constructi­on worker, of Pag-asa Street, Brgy Bayugo, Meycauayan City, and Eduardo Perez Cornel, 38, single, maintenanc­e harvester, of Sitio Sapang Bato, Brgy .Pinalagdan, Paombong , Bulacan.
