Revellers in dominant form vs Scratchers

- By JEROME LAGUNZAD CHE’LU BAR AND GRILL-SAN SEBASTIAN 87 — GO FOR GOLD 65 —

Games Tomorrow (Ynares Sports Arena) 2 p.m. – Perpetual Help vs Batangas 4 p.m. – CEU vs Go for Gold

Che’Lu Bar and Grill ignited its offense with a suffocating defense yesterday as the Revellers downed the Go for Gold Scratchers, 87-65, in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Marikina City Sports Complex.

Wingmen Allyn Bulanadi and skipper Samboy de Leon teamed up for 29 points while forward Michael Calisaan pumped in 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The wire-to-wire victory came on the heels of a 74-67 win over the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers last week that jacked up the Revellers’ record to 4-3, half-a-game behind the Marinerong Pilipino Skippers for fourth spot.

“Mas naka-prepare kami ngayon,” said Revellers mentor Stevenson Tiu.

The Revellers jumped to a quick 15-2 start and hardly gave the Scratchers any chance to get their rhythm on the offensive end, leading by as many as 27 points.

The Scratchers also turned the ball over 25 times, translating into 33 points.
