Laab retaliated and punched Querijero on the chest.
Querijero, in return, hurled bottled water at Laab, who drew a kitchen knife and stabbed the shop client several times before fleeing.
Mall security guards brought the victim to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival due to nine stab wounds.
Investigators were able to recover from the scene two 14-inch kitchen knives, one of which has blood stains.
