Truly, Madly, LANY

-

Proof of popularity: Even the “Good Girls” went wild the moment Paul Klein, Les Priest and Jake Goss of LANY took to the stage at SmartAraneta Coliseum on the first night of their concert series in Manila.

The American indie pop band opened their set with “Dumb Stuff,” and immediately inner fan girl squealed “Oh my god, I think I’m in love.” With Paul’s new haircut, Jake’s unexpected topless performance and Les’ incredible sounds, how can you not?

Even some of the boys couldn’t get enough of them. Those from the VIP standing area pushed forward to get a chance to see LANY closer that for a minute there, you’d feel as if things just might get a little too rowdy.

So, LANY did “13,” “Super Far,” “Where The Hell Are My Friends” to much feels all around. Aside from these, Paul also sang his version of “Sign Of Times” by Harry Styles – a real bonus right there.

“You are my favorite everything” the lead vocal sings, “been telling you that since 2018.” If he meant his Filipino fans, then we accept.

Everybody got hit right there with “Hericane.” It was just recently when Paul and his girlfriend split up so, of course, the fans felt heaviness in their hearts.

Still, Paul kept saying “Best night of my life,” adding, “This is my favorite place to stay.” Our hopes were high then, secretly crossing our fingers the band would return.

LANY ended the night by singing their most famous song “ILYSB.” Crowd went nuts, singing at the top of their lungs and getting emotional.

It was a magical night. Truly, madly, LANY.
