BATANGAS CITY — The Batangas provincial police has reported two drowning incidents — a 4-year-old boy in Calatagan and an on-the-job trainee (OJT) in San Juan, Batangas, Saturday.

Nursery student Kristoffer Arc Awa, a resident of San Carlos Village, Parañaque City, was found dead in the infinity pool of Stilts Beach Resort in Barangay Sta Ana, Calatagan at around 2:15 p.m.

Awa was taken to Calatagan Medicare Center where he was pronounced dead.

The other drowning victim was identified as Antonio Lacambra, 20, an OJT of Toyota Laguna and resident in San Pedro City, Laguna.

Lacambra’s fellow workers were walking along the shore in San Juan town when they noticed that Lacambra was missing past 12:00 noon.

Lifeguards of Kabayan Resort rescued the victim and took him to San Juan District Hospital where he was declared dead.
