OFW axed to death

CANDELARIA, Quezon – A 51-yearold Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was killed with an axe by a 19-year-old helper at Sitio Kultihan, Barangay Buenavista West, Candelaria, Saturday night.

Police reported that Efren Cabrera Cornejo was driving home on his motorcycle when Jhomel Marasigan appeared from behind and swung at him with an axe,

Cornejo was struck in the head and body and died at the scene.

Police are on the trail of Marasigan and will charge him with murder.

The axe has been recovered.
