Aid to fire victims

TACLOBAN CITY – About 40 families, victims of a recent fire in Baybay City, received emergency assistance from the provincial government, a report from the Leyte provincial governor’s office, based in this city, said. Leyte Governor Leopoldo Dominico L. Petilla told The Manila Bulletin that his office has extended assistance to the fire victims from Barangays Sabang and San Marcos. Petilla led the distribution of the emergency assistance amounting to P5,000 for each family. He added that his office has also distributed food packs to each family which consisted of 12 kilos of rice, 12 cans of sardines, noodles and a case of mineral water. (Restituto A. Cayubit)
