Miniature mosques

COTABATO CITY – In support of festivities to mark a symbolic welcome for the advent of the annual Islamic fasting for Ramadhan, stakeholders have launched here an exhibit of miniature replicas of famous masjids (mosques) across the globe. The event officially kicked off on Friday, May 11, at the regional seat in this city of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), displaying miniature mockups of 24 most renowned mosques around the world, which were made reproduced by participating line agencies and offices. In a statement, Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman, Anak Mindanao (AMIN) foundation executive director and wife of ARMM Governor Mujiv Hataman, said she organized the competitive exhibit to remind “Muslims of Mindanao that we are part of a greater Ummah (nation).” (Ali G.
