BROTHER PH JOINS RELAY FOR LIFE

Now on its 6th year, Brother Philippines shows its unwavering support to the Philippine Cancer Society with its participation in the Relay for Life, one of the main causes supported by the Brother Group globally. Brother International Philippines Corporation (Philippine Sales Subsidiary) and Brother Industries Philippines, Inc. (Philippine Manufacturing arm), expressed their support to the cause through a combined donation to the Philippine Cancer Society amounting to PHP400,000, a special performance by employees, and most importantly, dedication to the cause via their participation in the 12-hour relay. The relay’s long hours are symbolic in the fight against cancer because of the premise that ‘cancer does not sleep’.

“Relay for Life is a vital part of the core CSR program of The Brother Group and with the company’s annual participation, we hope that it’ll serve as a reminder to our employees not only of the importance of developing a sense of unity but also that there’s a bigger world out there and we’re all responsible for it,” says Glenn Hocson, president of Brother International Philippines, Corporation.

The Relay for Life was held in the Quezon City Memorial.
