10 most outstanding Manila cops named

Recognized for their dedicated service to the police force, 10 police officers were named as Most Outstanding Policemen by the Manila Police District (MPD).

The police officers, who will be awarded during the 447th celebration of the "Araw ng Maynila" on June 24 are Sr. Supt. Christopher Tambungan (Deputy District Director for Administration), Supt. Jay Dimaandal (Station Commander, Raxabago-Tondo Police Station), Supt. Emerey Abating, (Station Commander Ermita Police Station), Chief Insp. Reynate Parlade (Chief, Rapid Deployment Company SWAT), SPO4 Agapito Yadao, Jr. (Chief Clerk, District Special Operation Unit), SPO3 Dennis Ebuenga (D.A.R.E. Officer, Sampaloc Police Station), PO2 Edgardo Medrano (Investigator, District Special Operation Unit), PO1 Raquel P. Dela Cruz (Action PNCO District Operations and Plans Division), PO1 Danilo Kabigting (Investigator, Pandacan Police Station) and PO2 Paolo Samonte (Anti-Drug Operative, District Special Operation Unit).

MPD Spokesperson Supt. Erwin Margarejo said that the 10 officers, who applied for their nomination last May, underwent thorough deliberation and were eventually adjudged by newly designated MPD director Police Chief Supt. Rolando Anduyan.

Supt. Dimaandal one of the awardees, said that the recognition pushed him to further strive for excellence as a police officer.

"Medyo narecognize lang po yung ating mga accomplishment at lalo po kaming na-inspire na mag trabaho at mag lingkod sa bayan (We are further inspired to work and serve the people and the community when our efforts and accomplishments are reciognized),” Dimaandal told Manila Bulletin.
