It’s an earthquake

A moderately strong earthquake measuring 5.2-magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Southern and Central Luzon, including Metro Manila, around noon yesterday. The Philippine Institute of Volcanolog­y and Seismology (Phivolcs) estimated its epicenter at 25 kilometers southwest of Nasugbu, Batangas. The tremor was felt at 12:25 p.m. at Intensity 4 in Lubang and Abra de Ilog, both in Occidental Mindoro. Buco, Talisay, Tumaway and Calatagan in Batangas; Quezon City; Clark, Pampanga; Mandaluyon­g City; Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Looc and Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro; Malolos, Bulacan; Tagaytay City; Cavite City; and Tanza and Maragondon, Cavite felt the earthquake at Intensity 3.
