Local shares slightly higher

Local shares closed slightly higher yesterday as bargain hunting by investors ebbed. The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 39.38 points or 0.55 percent to finish at 7,267.34. All sectoral indeces, except services and mining, posted gains. A total of 539.7 billion shares valued at R4.78 billion changed hands. But decliners edged advancers, 97-88, with 50 issues unchanged.
