‘Jobs, Jobs, Jobs’ offers 10,000 vacancies nationwide – Villar
More than 10,000 job vacancies await jobseekers as the nationwide “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” caravan under the government’s infrastructure program – Build, Build, Build – kicks off on Sunday.
Job openings will be offered by different employers and contractors from the construction sectors, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar said.
“We invited employers and contractors from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) who handle Build Build Build projects. Representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) will also be present,” Villar said.
The job caravan will run from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. President Duterte will grace the event, he added.
Additional job openings will also be offered by companies invited by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP).
Available positions would cover not just building, construction, architecture, and engineering, according to Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III.
Positions in the clerical and administrative; accounting and finance; computer and Information Technology; human resources; communications and public relations; legal; salesand marketing; management and operations; research and development; customer service; security; hospitality; medical and health care; procurement and supply chain; education and training; production and quality; property and asset management; and creatives and design will also be offered to jobseekers.
Jobseekers are advised to utilize the pre-registration platform before August 12 to lessen their waiting time during registration at the Build Build Build website.
