Mother, son busted in Cavite drug sting

CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, Imus, Cavite – A woman and her son were arrested during an illegal drugs buy-bust operation last Tuesday in Dasmariñas City, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) reported yesterday.

Superintendent Nerwin M. Ricohermoso, Dasmariñas police chief, reported that a total of 41sachets of shabu were seized from Nancy Ando Mahusay, 54, and her son John Vincent, 22 during the operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) team at the residence of the Mahusays in in Barangay Sta. Fe at around 5:30 p.m.

Ricohermoso ordered the operation after concerned citizens tipped off the police.

The DEU officers promptly arrested the duo after receiving marked money worth R300 from an undercover officer who posed as a buyer of the illegal merchandise.

The elder Mahusay yielded 31 sachets of shabu, while 10 sachets were recovered from her son following their arrest.

Appropriate charges will be filed against them.
