Forestry Code violators charged
BUNAWAN, Agusan del Sur – The Bunawan Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) reported that at least 60 persons are now facing charges in various courts in Caraga region for violation of the Forestry Code of the Philippines. In its Semi-Annual report also obtained by The Manila Bulletin here, the Bunawan CENRODENR also reported that some of these cases are already set for promulgation before the end of this year. “The filing of charges against the suspects will be the result of our continuing no nonsense drive on forest protection since early this year up to August, per instruction of Environment Secretary Roy S. Cimatu through Regional Director Atty. Felix S. Alicer,” said Bunawan CENRO Specialist and Development Management Officer lV (DMO lV) Victor B.
