Sec. An­da­nar stays for now

Malacañang said that Sec­re­tary Martin An­da­nar will con­tinue to per­form his du­ties as head of the Pres­i­den­tial Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Op­er­a­tions Of­fice (PCOO) un­til the Of­fice of the Press Sec­re­tary (OPS) is up and run­ning.

Pres­i­den­tial Spokesper­son Sal­vador Panelo made the state­ment amid the re­or­ga­ni­za­tion in Pres­i­dent Duterte's Cabi­net.

In a text mes­sage, Panelo said that An­da­nar will con­tinue serv­ing as PCOO sec­re­tary for now.

“I think un­til such time as the OPS is cre­ated, the PCOO with him at the helm is still op­er­a­tional as an en­tity,” he said.

In an in­ter­view in Bali, In­done­sia this week, An­da­nar said that the tran­si­tion team in the PCOO is now ready. He ear­lier said that he will ac­cept the any new as­sign­ment that the Pres­i­dent will give him if he knows he can do it.
