DAVAO CITY – The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has invited Filipino companies to place their bids for the site development of the Bukidnon Airport Development Project (BADP) worth R408.837 million.

Mark Steven C. Pastor, chairman of the DOTr Bids and Awards Committee for Aviation and Airports Sector, said the budget for the development of the Bukidnon airport will be sourced from the 2018 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

According to Pastor, bidders would be limited to Filipinos, or partnerships or corporations that are 75-percent Filipino owned.

Pastor said interested bidders may secure the bidding documents at a nonrefundable fee of R50,000 from DOTr BAC Secretariat in its offices in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

Copies of the documents may also be downloaded from the websites of the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) and the DOTr, provided that they shall pay the applicable fee not later than submission of their bids.

He added a pre-bid conference will take place at 9 a.m. of November 16 for interested bidders, and the bid opening shall happen on November 29 in the presence of the bidders’ representatives.

Bidders will go through open competitive bidding procedures using “nondiscretionary ‘pass/fail’ criterion.

The successful bidder is required to complete the project within 360 days, Pastor said.
