3 killed in raid

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna — A police operation to search the hideout of an alleged distributor of illegal drugs and firearms led to a shootout that resulted in the killing of three suspects at Alvero Compound, Barangay San Ignacio, here, yesterday morning. Police identified one of the three fatalities as Christopher Alain Alvero. The operation at 7 a.m. was led by Supt. Eliseo Bernales, city police chief, who said Alvero’s group opened fire as his team tried to serve the warrant issued by Judge Agrifino Morga. Two other suspects – Joy Alvero and Enrico Suasi – were arrested as assorted high-powered firearms were seized after the shootout. (Danny J. Estacio)
