KAP survey
BUTUAN CITY – The regional director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) here bared that the agency has been providing guidance and learning to social marketers on Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) Survey in various parts of Caraga region. Director Mita Chuchi Gupana-Lim said the KAP Survey was a form of communication research that enables social marketers to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the communication tactics employed by the department directly from the stakeholders. “This (KAP) is very important for them (social marketers) to properly handle the concern and needs of the residents in their respective areas,” stressed the region’s DSWD 13 chief, in an interview with The Manila Bulletin on Saturday. The program is also aimed at determining the awareness of the stakeholders on DSWD’s core programs (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps, Sustainable Livelihood Program, and Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services or Kalahi-CIDSS), and the basic services such as Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), among others, she added.
