PRDP project
BUTUAN CITY – Farmers and villagers in far-flung areas in Surigao del Norte town are expected to benefit from an P81million concreted farm-to-market road (FMR) when it is completed, this was bared yesterday by Regional Spokesperson Emmylou T. Presilda of the Department of Agriculture. She said the ground breaking of the DA-Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Badas Tres De Mayo-Amoslog FMR concreting in Placer town, Surigao del Norte, was recently officiated by the officials of the agency. The groundbreaking activity and the pre-construction conference was also participated by the local officials of Placer, officials of the three barangays including its residents. The total budget for the FMR project will be composed of 10 percent equity or counterpart from the municipal or provincial local government unit, 10 percent from the Philippine government, and 80 percent from the World Bank.
