Bar Exams: No smart watches

Joan Largo, president of Philippine Associatio­n of Law Schools, announced on their Facebook page that wall clocks were already installed in the examinatio­n rooms in UST on Nov. 10 after the examinees were disallowed from wearing analog or smart watches last Sunday.

Largo also reminded the examinees not to wear watches during the bar exams for security reasons.

Strict security measures remained in effect in and around the University of Santo Tomas (UST) campus in Sampaloc, Manila for the second of four parts of the 2018 Bar Examinatio­ns yesterday.

Police officers, Supreme Court security personnel and local traffic enforcers were deployed to ensure security and to facilitate the flow of vehicular traffic.

Colleagues, relatives and friends of the aspiring lawyers were not allowed to linger in the vicinity of España Boulevard near the UST main gate.

The Manila Police District (MPD) said a liquior ban will be in effect in the area until 8 p.m.

MPD also reminded the motorists that A stop-and-go scheme will be observed along P. Noval Street, Dapitan Street, A.H. Lacson Avenue (formerly Gov. Forbes Aenue) and España Boulevard from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. on the last two remaining dates for the Bar exams on Nov. 18 and Nov. 25.

Parking will also be strictly prohibited along España Boulevard., A.H. Lacson Ave., Dapitan Street and P. Noval Street.
