New patrol vehicles for EV police

PALO, Leyte – Twenty eight new police patrol jeeps were distribute­d to police stations and units in Eastern Visayas, the Police Regional Office 8 (PRO8) based here said.

Sr. Supt Ariel C. Arcinas, Eastern Visayas regional police director, told the Manila Bulletin that the new patrol vehicles (single cab 4x2 Toyota Hi-lux) were blessed and distribute­d to various police units on November 26, 2018 during the ceremonial turnover rites and blessing at the PRO8 grandstand.

“We are confident that more patrol cars from higher headquarte­rs will be given to us in the future. As you can see, it is of great help to our police particular­ly in responding to any incident occurring in the community. Apparently, it is serving its purpose especially in the delivery of prompt and immediate police services,” Arcinas said.

Arcinas reported that the recipients of the patrol vehicles are the Northern Samar Police Provincial Office Headquarte­rs and the police units / stations in Bobon, Capul, Gamay, Lapinig, Palapag, San Jose, Silvino, Biri and San Vicente in Northern Samar, the Balangkaya­n, Jipapad and Maslog police stations in Eastern Samar, Samar Police Provincial Office (SPPO) Headquarte­rs.

Likewise receiving patrol vehicles are the police stations in Tagapul-an, Almagro, Matuguinao, San Sebastian, Santo Niño, Talalora and City Police Station of Calbayog in Samar, the Albuera and Burauen, Leyte police stations and the police force in Liloan, Saint Bernard, Silago, Tomas Oppus and Sogod in southern Leyte.
