Fil-Am gets Golden Globe nomination for ‘Versace’ portrayal

Filipino-American actor Darren Criss is among frontrunne­rs at the 76th Golden Globes Awards, earning a Best actor in a TV movie or limited series nomination for his performanc­e as Andrew Cunanan in FX’s “The Assassinat­ion of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.”

The second feature of “American Crime Story,” “The Assassinat­ion of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” relates the series of events in the lives of the popular fashion designer and Cunanan, who would eventually shoot and kill him on the steps of his Miami Beach property on the morning of July 15, 1997.

It is nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best TV movie or limited series category.
