3,742 pass PNP entrance exam
A total of 3,742 of the examinees passed the Philippine National Police (PNP) Entrance Examination while 4,410 hurdled the PNP Promotional Examinations conducted by the National Police Commission (Napolcom) on October 21, 2018 in various testing centers in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
Napolcom Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao said the commission released the list of successful examinees in both examination categories.
Out of the 32,912 civilian examinees who took the PNP Entrance Examination, a requirement for initial appointment to the rank of Police Officer 1 (PO1), only 11.37 percent passed the test.
On the other hand, only 34.99 percent of the 12,602 police aspirants who took the promotional tests successfully passed, with 1,826 in the Police Officer Exam; 2,189 in the Senior Police Officer Exam; 312 in the Inspector Exam; and, 83 in the Superintendent Exam.
“The immediate release of the results of police exams is in consonance with the commission’s commitment with the PNP and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to make the examination results in sync with the police recruitment process,” Casurao said.
Casurao reiterated the commission’s earlier warning for applicants of the PNP Entrance and Promotional Examinations not to commit any form of examination irregularity.
These irregularities include cheating, impersonation and perjury or violation of examination rules.
Casurao reminded the examinees that the commission has a computer system that keeps track of the answer patterns of examinees.
The list of successful examinees will be posted at the Napolcom Central Office in Quezon City.
Casurao also noted that the test results can also be viewed at the Napolcom website at www.napolcom. gov.ph.
Individual reports of rating will be mailed to all examinees.
Casurao added that “verification of test results will be entertained at the Napolcom central and regional offices within the month.
