Clark, construction firm join to build ‘green’ center
CLARK FREEPORT — Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Green Antz Builders, Inc. to develop an Innovation, Research and Development Facility and Training Center that will promote eco-friendly construction materials.
CDC President and CEO Noel F. Manankil and Green Antz President and CEO Rommel Benig signed the MOA for a collaborative effort in exploring ways and means in promoting the conservation of the environment by developing eco-friendly supplies, including eco-bricks and porous pavers.
Green Antz, a provider of environment-friendly products and solutions for construction, will collaborate with CDC in building the center.
The partnership will also reinforce CDC’s mission to formulate programs that will encourage participation from all stakeholders in the Freeport to disseminate proper ecological practices to business enterprises.
Manankil said the project is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of the state-owned firm that is geared towards the promotion of environmental consciousness.
“The project is more aligned to a CSR concept. And the next step after the completion of the construction of the Innovation, Research and Development Facility, and Training Center will be identifying and awarding to the beneficiaries the training and empower them to have successful stories so that the support of the management would always be there,” he said.
