Local millers buy feed wheat

HAMBURG (Reuters) – Importers in the Philippines purchased about 85,000 tons of feed wheat in a deal earlier this week, European traders said on Friday. Some 50,000 tons was bought at below $260 a ton c&f for shipment to the port of Batangas. The United States was seen as a possible origin. Another 35,000 tons was purchased at around $285 a tonne c&f to the port of Cebu and was thought likely to be sourced from Australia. Both consignments were for shipment in the first half of April.
