Plane with 2 Indians aboard missing

The Philippine Coast Guard has been conducting search and rescue operations for a training aircraft with two Indian nationals onboard that went missing in Subic Monday.

Yesterday, the Coast Guard deployed its multi-role response vessel BRP Tubattaha in the vicinity of the waters east of Orion, Bataan to search for the missing aircraft.

It was disclosed that a single-engine type aircraft with tail no. RPC-2724-152 was reported missing at about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

According to Coast Guard Action Center, the aircraft was piloted by instructor pilot Captain Navern Nagaraja with student pilot Kuldeep Singh as his passenger. Both are Indian nationals.

Coast Guard said that based on Flight Line Flying School data, the missing aircraft departed Plaridel, Bulacan at 7:20 a.m. Monday. It landed at Subic Airport at 7:51 on the same day.

The last record of the aircraft was recorded at 8:14 a.m. Monday when it departed Subic enroute to Plaridel, Bulacan, but it failed to return to Plaridel. It has been reported missing since then.

On Tuesday night, the Coast Guard started conducting search and rescue operation for the missing aircraft.

Flight Line Flying School also dispatched two of its aircrafts to help in finding the aircraft.

A Notice to Mariner has also been issued by the Coast Guard to alert all vessels in the area to be on the lookout for the missing plane and pilots.
